Winter's Almost Over!

Anyone else have spring fever?? I don't know about you, but I'm so looking forward to the end of winter and it's cold, cloudy gray days. I'm day dreaming of vacation season, getting back to the beach and a Room With a View! This design is a fun, relaxed space that's just a little whimsical and a lot unconventional. Instead of the traditional sofa and recliners, why not mix it up and really put some vacation vibes into your living area! There are so many affordable pretty hammocks/hammock stands out there right now and they're surprisingly comfortable. Taking a nap on a hammock inside by a sunny window will make you feel like you're on the beach (minus the pesky bugs!). Casual boho style is everywhere in design and it works SO well in beach houses too - think surfer girl cool! The comfy rattan chairs, drink stand and umbrella create the most chill indoor reading/conversation nook when you're done with your nap! So, what if you don't have a room with a view? That's okay! You can still recreate this carefree, beachy getaway room using the same furnishings but also add in some coastal artwork, or even a wall mural to give the illusion of "the view" (and it wouldn't hurt to play some soothing ocean sounds in the background too!). Don't be afraid to think outside the box when decorating your home - if you love it and it makes you happy, then go for it!
