Original Artwork/office design
Original Artwork/office design

This artwork was designed from cooled aluminum splatter that's created from the casting process. These pieces lined the wall of the front office and garnered many compliments and requests for custom orders as well.

I was the lead designer for a brand new aluminum casting facility. I selected all of the finishes/flooring/hardware/paint colors, and collaborated with one of my associates on the selection and final installation of decorative design elements. Aluminum was my inspiration for the design process, adding metallics and choosing driftwood-like finishes for the office furniture. Custom greenery/floral added life to the space. I truly enjoyed the experience of doing a commercial project.

This staggered wall art was created from one single drone shot of the facility during the building process. It was transferred to 3 aluminum pieces for personalized artwork in the conference room.

A large statement clock and renderings from the original design for the new facility welcomed visitors in the lobby.

When I was walking through the plant at the new facility these pieces of silicon caught my eye when I saw them sparkling. They were the perfect metallic accent in this decorative bowl in the lobby.

An amazing photographer (and close friend of mine) took these photos of the casting process in the plant and I had them transferred to aluminum to create personalized wall art for the office.

I used barn beams and bricks to create the TV stand.

This client didn't have a couch so I turned this antique bed into a cozy daybed/sofa!

My client had a huge collection of old books and loved all things primitive.

Vintage Irish coffee cups add color along with the little green bird sitting in an antique tin creamer.

Boho teepee/dining room

This is from my personal collection...created from a hand embroidered linen tablecloth my husband and I purchased for my mom on our honeymoon in St. Martin nearly 30 years ago.

Cement Swan/personal collection
Cement Swan/personal collection

My mom purchased this for me years ago (I've always collected unique swans). I somehow managed to get it on top of the table...all I can say is that's a pretty strong table because it's ridiculously heavy! :) I love it there.

Mayan Dreamcatcher
Mayan Dreamcatcher

My husband and I purchased this handmade Mayan dreamcatcher on our last trip to Tulum, Mexico. We searched for a long time trying to find just the right one (we had a very kind and patient driver that spoke Mayan and made the search so much fun!). It was meant to hang above our mantle!

Garden Furniture/enclosed porch
Garden Furniture/enclosed porch

This furniture belonged to my mom. I inherited it and just completes our enclosed porch.

Beachy Fairy Garden
Beachy Fairy Garden

I created this fairy garden to always remind me of my happy place. I used one of my mom's old drawers that she painted.

Handmade/handpainted Kitchen Cabinet
Handmade/handpainted Kitchen Cabinet

This is also a part of my personal collection which I recently inherited. My Mom and Dad built this piece for their kitchen. This was from one of my favorite kitchen remodel projects Mom ever did (and she did A LOT of them!). The color is so cheerful and it makes me happy!

Kitchen Island
Kitchen Island

This also belonged to my mom and dad and was built to match the cabinet. I didn't need an island, so I decided to use it as a buffet type table in my breakfast nook. The stone swan was hand carved by my brother. Very talented guy.

Tabletop Display/breakfast nook

This set was a gift I gave to my mom but she never used it. I decided to turn it into a whimsical tabletop display. :)

Mom was the queen of distressing things before it was even a popular trend. She had a knack for making things look 100 years old, even if they were brand new.

Sea Sponge Centerpiece
Sea Sponge Centerpiece

My house is mainly decorated in vintage coastal (even though I live nowhere near the beach!) I found this large sea sponge at a local antique shop. I filled it with large shells and handmade fishing floats (a Christmas project one year). It definitely makes a statement on my kitchen table.

I love old fishing floats. The Amber one on the left is new and the two smaller ones I made using clear glass Christmas ornaments. Love the way they came out. I originally used them as ornaments for my Christmas tree but loved them so much I decided to create displays with them.

No beach house (or "wanna be" beach house) can ever have enough shells. I've collected so many shells with my sister during our family beach vacations...they're everywhere in my house and they make me smile remembering all of our fun times together. When you fill your house with things that make you smile...that's what makes your house a home.

Large Rusty Metal Beach Sign

I know some people are over the sign trend...but I still love my signs. This is one of my favorites.

TV Wall/living room
TV Wall/living room

When you have cords coming out of your wall (because the builders thought you were going to hang your TV) it's a true challenge to creatively cover them. After trying many different things that didn't work I'm finally really satisfied with the inexpensive bamboo wall (which you'll also see in a couple of my beach house concept boards). Adds just the right amount of texture and coastal charm.
